Darwis Ulla
As the captain of our boat support in Misool, Mr Darwis will be one of the first faces of Misool that you will meet and also the last face you will say goodbye to when leaving the island. When you see Mr Darwis he might give an impression that he is a silent man. But actually he is a good humored man, it’s just that he barely speaks English, which is ironic since his wife is an English teacher for the local school in the village Dabatan there they live with their 5 children. Sometimes Fikih, his son, helps out as boat assistant when he is not in highschool. Darwis is known in South East Misool as the most reliable and trustworthy boatman available!
Syafriani Mentari (Tari)
Tari manages Millekul’s Sorong team and is the steady hand behind the Bamboo House, Millekul’s HQ in the city. Before joining Millekul she worked in different fields, but her combination of polite, pleasant character and active English soon made her a natural fit for welcoming guests and coordinating the team. Guests often meet her first when they arrive in Sorong, where her calm hospitality sets the tone for their journey. Whether organizing logistics or simply offering a reassuring smile, Tari embodies Millekul’s spirit of care and connection. Entrusting the Bamboo House to her was an easy choice—she makes it feel less like an office and more like a home for both staff and travelers.
Maria Selia Da. Conceicao (Sella)
From Ambon, now based in Sorong, Sela is often one of the very first faces you’ll meet when starting a Millekul journey. Cheerful, punctual, and easy to rely on, she makes the sometimes-hectic arrival in Sorong feel more welcoming. A graduate of Victory University of Sorong, Sela has long been active in church and campus organizations, balancing responsibility with her love of music—whether singing, reading, or picking up an instrument. At Millekul, she bridges admin, customer service, and on-the-ground guiding in Sorong, making sure guests feel cared for from the very beginning. Her smile and calm presence have a way of turning even a long travel day into something lighter.
Chitra A.T. Wijaya
Born and raised in Sorong, Chitra is another of Millekul’s first friendly faces that guests encounter before heading out to Misool. With a background in English Education at Victory University, she brings clarity and warmth in every conversation, making sure information flows easily between guests, guides, and the field team. Chitra’s experience in public speaking, debate, and student leadership translates into a natural confidence in welcoming travelers, solving problems, and keeping things organized behind the scenes. In the Sorong office, she is both detail-oriented and approachable, the kind of person who makes guests feel they are in good hands from the moment they land. For Chitra, being part of Millekul means connecting stories and people—something she’s been passionate about long before she joined the team.
Gabe Siallagan
Gabe is the vibrant force behind the scenes at Millekul’s Bamboo House in Sorong, working closely with Tari, Chitra, and Sela to keep everything running smoothly. With his excellent command of English and a knack for making everyone feel at ease, he’s the go-to person for all things purchasing and logistics.
